I'm a New Graduate or Not Currently Practicing — Can I Still Enroll?

Eligibility for new graduates and nurses who aren't currently working at the bedside.

Overview

You do not need years of experience — or a current bedside role — to study with INCA. What matters is your nursing license and your willingness to engage with the learning.

New Graduates

New graduates are welcome. For the Integrative Nurse Coach® Certificate Program (INCCP), you'll need an active, unrestricted RN (or APN/NP) license. Many new nurses use INCA education to bring a whole-person, coaching-informed approach into their practice from the very start.

Not Currently Practicing

If you hold an active nursing license but aren't currently working in a clinical role — for example, you're between jobs, on leave, or transitioning careers — you can still enroll. INCA programs are educational and don't require you to be employed in a specific setting.

Note: Eligibility depends on the program: the INCCP requires an active, unrestricted RN or APN license, while specialty programs are also open to LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs. If your license is inactive or lapsed, or you're not a nurse, contact Admissions or see Allied Health Professional Eligibility (Non-Nurses).

Using What You Learn

How you apply your education depends on your license, role, and local regulations. Completion of an INCA program does not change your scope of practice or licensure status.

Still Not Sure?

If you're unsure whether your situation qualifies, contact Admissions at admissions@inursecoach.com or through our contact page, or book a call with an Admissions Specialist. See also Eligibility for INCA Programs.
