Technical & Participation Requirements

The technology, internet, and participation requirements needed for a smooth experience.

Overview

INCA programs are delivered online and include interactive, reflective, and experiential components. This article outlines the basic technical requirements and participation expectations.

Technical Requirements

  • A reliable internet connection
  • A desktop or laptop computer (tablets may work for some content but are not recommended for all activities)
  • An up-to-date web browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended)
  • Audio capability (speakers or headphones)
  • A webcam and microphone for live sessions (INCCP)

Some components — live sessions, peer coaching, and mentorship groups — require real-time audio and video participation.

Learning Platform Access

INCA courses are delivered through Canvas. You must be able to log in, navigate modules, and submit assignments electronically. Materials may include videos, readings, discussion boards, reflections, and downloadable resources. Access to Canvas is provided after enrollment according to program-specific timing.

Participation Expectations

INCA programs emphasize active participation. Courses include reflective exercises, self-assessment, and experiential learning. Written reflections and discussions are a core part of many programs, and engagement is required to complete program requirements and receive a certificate.

INCCP Participation Requirements

  • Attendance at live or recorded sessions, as outlined in the program experience
  • Participation in peer coaching
  • Participation in mentorship groups
  • Completion of required assignments and evaluations

INCCP is experiential by design. Learners are expected to engage thoughtfully, respectfully, and professionally.

Time Commitment

Time commitment varies by program and learner. Self-paced specialty programs allow flexibility; INCCP follows a cohort-based schedule with weekly expectations.

Professional Conduct and Learning Environment

  • Participants are expected to communicate professionally and respectfully.
  • Confidentiality is required during peer coaching and group learning.
  • Disruptive, inappropriate, or unprofessional behavior may result in removal from a program.
