Start Dates, Cohorts, and Access Timing
How cohorts, start dates, and course access windows work across INCA programs.
Overview
This article explains when you'll receive access, how long you have to complete requirements, and how timing works for INCA's self-paced specialty programs versus the Integrative Nurse Coach® Certificate Program (INCCP).
Self-Paced Specialty Programs: Access + Completion Window
- Access timing: you'll typically receive access within one business day of enrolling.
- Time to complete for a certificate: one year from your enrollment/access date to complete the core requirements.
- Lifetime resources (where offered): some programs include lifetime access to certain resources, but certificate eligibility still requires completing the core requirements within one year.
If you enrolled and didn't receive access within one business day, please submit a student support ticket so we can help.
INCCP: Cohort-Based Timing + Pre-Start Milestones
INCCP is cohort-based, meaning it follows a scheduled start date and structured progression.
- ~4 weeks before the program begins: a welcome letter with instructions, including how to select your Mentorship Group time and coordinate Peer Coaching timing. (See Mentorship Groups and Peer Coaching.)
- ~1–2 weeks before the program begins: your iNurseCoach email for login and official communications.
- 24 hours before the program begins: access to the course in Canvas.
Caution: It's essential to follow the instructions in these emails promptly. Students who do not complete setup steps by the start date are automatically deferred to the next cohort.
INCCP Levels: Required Order + Flexibility After Level 2
- You must complete Level 1 before Level 2.
- You must complete Level 2 before Level 3.
- After completing Level 2, you may complete Level 3, Level 4, and any bonus course at any time (as applicable to your enrollment).
Long-Term Access to INCCP Resources
INCCP students receive lifetime access to course resources through an alumni community.
