Live Web Meeting Times & Course Structure

How live meeting times are scheduled and how to plan if you’re balancing shifts or time zones.

Overview

Live mentorship groups and peer coaching sessions are a core part of the Integrative Nurse Coach® Certificate Program (INCCP) . To support nurses across different schedules and time zones, INCA collects time preferences in advance and forms live groups intentionally. This article explains how time preferences are used, how groups are formed, and what you can expect. How the Course Is Structured Week to Week INCCP includes a blend of learning formats designed to support both flexibility and deep engagement. The course experience includes: Pre-recorded weekly lectures Discussion forum participation Peer coaching sessions (during Foundations) Live mentorship / supervision meetings Peer coaching sessions allow you to begin practicing coaching skills early in the program. You are paired with another nurse in the program and schedule your peer coaching sessions directly through the learning platform. Submitting Your Time Preferences Approximately 3–4 weeks before the program begins, all registered participants receive a form to submit their time preferences for live mentorship groups. This form includes the available meeting times for your cohort. Submitting your preferences accurately and by the stated deadline is important. How Groups Are Formed Mentorship (supervision) groups are formed by INCA using the information submitted, along with additional considerations such as: Cohort size Time zone distribution Faculty and mentor availability The need for balanced, sustainable group sizes Groups are formed to remain consistent throughout the program, supporting trust, continuity, and depth of learning. What Group Schedules Typically Look Like While exact schedules vary by cohort, groups are generally structured in a similar way. Example from a recent cohort: Group A meets Mondays at 7:00 PM Eastern Group B meets Tuesdays at 8:00 PM Eastern Group C meets Tuesdays at 3:00 PM Eastern Group D meets Thursdays at 9:00 PM Eastern Group E meets Wednesdays at 7:00 PM Eastern These are examples only. While your cohort’s schedule may look similar, exact days and times vary based on availability and cohort needs. Meeting Frequency and Duration Live mentorship group meetings differ slightly by program phase: Foundations: Groups meet 7 times, every two weeks, for 2 hours per session Practicum: Groups meet 6 times, every three weeks, for 2 hours per session This pacing allows time for integration, reflection, and application between meetings. Important Expectations to Keep in Mind Submitting time preferences does not guarantee a specific meeting time Live participation is a required component of INCCP Groups are not typically changed once formed Consistency supports both your learning and the group experience INCCP is designed to balance structure with flexibility while maintaining the integrity of a cohort-based learning experience.
