Live Web Meeting Requirements: Mentorship Groups & Peer Coaching in INCCP
What live participation is required, how mentorship groups work, and what counts for completion.
Overview
Live, relational learning is a core component of the Integrative Nurse Coach® Certificate Program (INCCP) . Mentorship groups and peer coaching are intentionally designed to support skill development, confidence, and professional integration. This article explains what to expect from live web meetings, why they matter, and how mentorship groups and peer coaching work together within INCCP. Why Live Participation Matters INCCP is not designed as a self-paced or observational program. Learning occurs through relationship, reflection, and practice. Live web meetings provide space to: Apply coaching-informed skills in real time Learn through dialogue and shared experience Receive guidance from experienced nurse coach mentors Develop confidence in presence, listening, and communication These experiences are central to the program and are required components of INCCP. Mentorship Groups Mentorship groups are small, faculty-led groups that meet live throughout the program. In mentorship groups, you can expect to: Engage in reflective discussion related to course content Explore real-world application of integrative nurse coaching skills Receive guidance, insight, and feedback from experienced nurse coaches Learn alongside peers in a supportive, professional environment Mentorship groups provide structure, continuity, and a sense of connection throughout the learning journey. Peer Coaching Peer coaching is a structured, supervised learning experience in which participants practice coaching skills with fellow nurses. Peer coaching sessions are: Guided by clear instructions and ethical boundaries Designed to create a safe, supportive learning environment Focused on skill development, not performance An essential bridge between theory and practice Participants may serve in both coach and client roles, depending on program level and pairing structure. How Mentorship Groups and Peer Coaching Work Together Mentorship groups and peer coaching are complementary. Mentorship groups provide guidance, context, and integration Peer coaching provides hands-on practice and experiential learning Together, they support ethical, confident, and competent nurse coaching practice. Attendance and Participation Expectations Live participation in mentorship groups and peer coaching sessions is required. Participants are expected to: Attend scheduled live sessions as outlined in the program Arrive prepared and present Engage respectfully and professionally Follow all provided instructions and timelines These expectations exist to support both individual learning and the integrity of the group experience. Learn more about Group Formation and Times If You Feel Nervous About Live Sessions It is common to feel some apprehension before participating in live groups or peer coaching—especially if this style of learning is new to you. INCCP is intentionally designed to be supportive, not evaluative. You are not expected to be perfect. You are expected to be present, curious, and willing to engage.
