What Are the Weekly Modules in the INCCP?

A week-by-week look at the INCCP curriculum — from the Wellbecoming™ Model and motivational interviewing to behavior change, ethics, and supervised practice.

A structured, progressive curriculum

The Integrative Nurse Coach® Certificate Program (INCCP) follows a progressive curriculum supporting both professional competence and personal transformation.

Notice how much of the curriculum centers on behavior change — motivational interviewing, appreciative inquiry, and behavior-change theory are core, not afterthoughts.

Level 1: Foundations — weekly modules

Over 14 weeks, Foundations moves from who you are as a Nurse Coach to the theory, the coaching process, communication, change, and leadership. Each week is one module:

  • Welcome to Your Journey of Transformation
  • The Integrative Nurse Coach® Role
  • The Grand Theory of Integrative Nurse Coaching (TINC)
  • INCA's Model of Wellbecoming
  • Integrative Nurse Coach® Process & Session Structure
  • Communication: A Pandimensional Energy Field Phenomenon
  • The Alternating Rhythms of Vulnerability
  • The Complexity of Change
  • Nurse Coaching Groups — The Power of “WE”
  • Guiding the Client from Health/Wellbeing to Healing/Wellbecoming
  • Nurse Coaching's Impact on Chronic Conditions
  • The Power of Nurse Coach Leadership
  • Advancing Your Nursing Practice as an Integrative Nurse Coach®
  • Prepare for Level 2: Integrative Nurse Coach® Practicum

Level 2: Practicum — two-week modules

The Practicum is organized into two-week modules that take you from preparing to coach through supervised practice and exam readiness:

  • Course Orientation & Preparing to Coach Clients
  • Nurse Coach Competencies & Skills
  • Caring for Self & Nurse Coach Research
  • Nurse Coach Integration and Practice Outcomes
  • The Nurse Coach Experience
  • Certification Exam Preparation & Resources
  • Preparing for Practice

Throughout, modules are supported by experiential learning, live mentorship, peer coaching, and supervised practice. To go deeper on the coaching methods involved, see our posts on the OARS of motivational interviewing and the art and science of behavior change. Full details are on the INCCP page.
