INCCP Program Structure & Learning Levels

How the INCCP is structured, how the learning levels build, and what each phase includes.

Overview

The Integrative Nurse Coach® Certificate Program (INCCP) is intentionally designed as a progressive learning journey. Each part of the program builds on the previous one, allowing skills, confidence, and professional identity to develop over time. This article outlines how INCCP is structured and how the learning levels work together. A Progressive, Layered Learning Design INCCP is organized into learning levels that are completed in sequence. This structure ensures that foundational skills are established before moving into deeper application and integration. The program design reflects how nurses actually learn best—through experience, reflection, practice, and mentorship over time. Modules and assignments are due weekly. Required Learning Sequence INCCP levels must be completed in order: Level 1 must be completed before advancing to Level 2 Level 2 must be completed before advancing to Level 3 This sequencing supports professional readiness and ethical practice and is not optional. Levels With Flexible Timing After completing Levels 1 and 2, learners have more flexibility. Levels 3 and 4, along with any bonus courses, may be completed at a pace that works best for your professional goals and schedule, once prerequisites are met. This flexibility allows nurses to integrate learning alongside work and life responsibilities. Why the Structure Matters The INCCP structure is designed to: Build coaching-informed skills gradually and safely Support confidence through guided practice Ensure consistency and integrity across cohorts Prepare graduates for real-world application and board certification readiness Each level deepens both skill and self-awareness, which is central to integrative nurse coaching practice. Not a Self-Paced or Modular Shortcut INCCP is not designed to be completed out of sequence or rushed. The cohort-based structure, live components, and required progression are essential features of the program—not limitations. This design ensures that graduates meet the professional and educational standards associated with the Integrative Nurse Coach® role. Support Along the Way Throughout each level, you will receive guidance from faculty, mentors, and the INCA team. Clear communication, timely completion of requirements, and engagement with program instructions are important to ensure a smooth progression through the levels. Questions About Program Structure?
