Why should I take a course on end-of-life care?
Nurses can profoundly shape how people experience the end of life. This course builds the skills and self-reflection needed for these important conversations across the illness trajectory.
Nurses can make a big difference in how people experience the end of their lives. Most people still come into the end of life — their own and their loved ones' — unprepared, and much of that suffering comes from unfamiliarity with the journey and not knowing how to prepare.
Nurses care for patients in their most vulnerable moments and have countless opportunities to ask open questions about what matters most. Without space for self-reflection, though, these can be uncomfortable conversations. This course helps you build the skills and capacities for them — and offers a re-imagined perspective on what's possible when we talk more openly about living and dying.
