How recipients are selected
INCA faculty, who are board-certified Nurse Coaches, review every complete application for the scholarship it was submitted to. Reviews are blind: names and other identifying details are removed before faculty read the essays.
Reviewers consider eligibility, the essay, the applicant's goals for using Nurse Coaching and their commitment to active participation in the program. Faculty select one full-tuition recipient for each scholarship and may name finalists, who can receive a partial scholarship of up to $1,500 toward INCCP tuition. There is no separate application for partial scholarships.
Timing
- The recipient is notified by email by the date listed for that scholarship and confirms by the response date.
- The recipient begins in the cohort tied to their scholarship and may defer by one cohort if needed.
- Applications received after a deadline are included in the following year's review for that scholarship.
How to apply
- Choose the scholarship that fits you and note its deadline.
- Write a 300 to 1,000 word essay addressing three of the six prompts on the application.
- Complete the scholarship application and select your scholarship.
