Certificates & Contact Hours: How and When You'll Receive Yours
What triggers your certificate and contact hours, and how to access them.
Overview
When you complete an INCA program, you'll receive a certificate of completion and, for licensed nurses, ANCC contact hours. This article explains what has to happen first and how to access them.
What You Must Complete First
Your certificate and contact hours are issued after you have:
- Completed all required course components
- Submitted the required course evaluation
- Paid tuition in full (if you used a payment plan, certificates are withheld until it's paid off)
Who Receives Contact Hours
INCA is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), so ANCC contact hours are awarded to eligible licensed nurses. Non-nurses who complete a program may receive a certificate of participation but not ANCC contact hours. See Accreditation and Certificate vs. Certification.
Note: If you're using your certificate or contact hours for employer reimbursement or license renewal, complete the evaluation and any outstanding payments promptly so issuance isn't delayed.
How to Access Your Documents
Once issued, your certificate and contact-hour documentation are available through your course account. If you can't locate them or need a corrected copy, please submit a student support ticket.
