What's the difference between Part 1 (Foundations) and Part 2 (the Practitioner Certificate)?

Part 1, CannyNurse® Foundations, is a short self-study primer on the ECS and medical cannabis. Part 2 is the in-depth, 12-module practitioner-level CannyNurse® Certificate Program.

The CannyNurse® program now comes in two parts:

  • Part 1 — CannyNurse® Foundations ($399, 25 contact hours). A short, self-study course that gives you a foundational understanding of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) and medical cannabis — the herbal-medicine paradigm, how cannabis interacts with the ECS, how patients take cannabis, safety and contraindications, and a look at the evidence. A must for any nurse whose patients use cannabis.
  • Part 2 — CannyNurse® Certificate Program ($1,999, 75 contact hours, launching October 2026). A much more in-depth, practitioner-level program: 12 modules covering scope and standards, the ECS in depth, cannabinoids and the entourage effect, dosing and administration, contraindications and vulnerable populations, therapeutic use by condition, product selection, cannabis use disorder, holistic ECS support, and care planning — culminating in a timed open-book final exam.

Part 1 stands on its own, and it's also the entry point to Part 2. Take Foundations to build essential knowledge, then continue to the full Certificate Program to practice as a CannyNurse®.
